Jeff Barnes brings over 25 years of project and program experience with an emphasis on risk evaluation and mitigation. A native Tennessean, graduate of The University of Mississippi and resident of Marietta, Georgia, Jeff is blessed with a loving wife and two sons. Jeff is a volunteer with Ducks Unlimited. He has served as Georgia State Chairman, a member of the National Advisory Committee for Youth and Education, and multiple roles as an Area and District Chairman. An Eagle Scout himself, Jeff volunteers as an Assistant Scoutmaster for his son’s Boy Scout Troop where he is able to share his love for the outdoors and passion for conservation to the next generation of outdoorsmen. Jeff also coaches youth on the 4H Cobb County shotgun team.
Risk mitigation is an area where Jeff is extremely experienced. His professional career began as a consultant and progressed into his current role as SVP of Issue Management. Risk mitigation along with business efficiency is where Jeff has made a career. He has extensive experience in the regulatory and operations spaces of Risk Management. As such, Jeff offers consulting services with hunting lodges and ranches to help with their plans for the future all while addressing potential new challenges due to changes to their status quo.
Safety and Risk Management are central to Jeff’s skill set. Jeff holds NRA certifications in Rife, Shotgun, and Range Safety Officer (RSO). He holds American Red Cross certification in Wilderness First Aid.
Shotgunning is Jeff’s preference and as such is an avid hunter of ducks, geese, quail, pheasants, but above all turkeys. Jeff is an active clay and Helice shooter.
Fishing is another area that Jeff loves. His love of fishing spans the gamut from hosting trips in the Amazon jungle to fish for peacock bass all the way to pond fishing for bream with an ultralight.
